Ever have “one of those days”, weeks, or years? Think it is never going to end? If you’re wondering why read this, It’s for everyone who ever had a wacko at work or as kin. The appeal is for those wondering if the world is sane (it isn’t), and especially for those who identify with that Al Capp character, from the Li’l Abner comic strip of days long ago; dressed in black and forever shadowed by a rain cloud. But, most of all, it’s for those who have lost faith and seek to regain it; individuals wanting to be as hopeful and eager to see each morning, as they had been mourning their life gone by.
I became physically ill and my “friends” helped me hit rock bottom. I trusted people instead of a higher power. For months I wore myself out and tired of hearing my mind drone on endlessly of how no good deed goes unpunished. I headed into deep despair. However, after a short time, my mind came out of cold stoage.
An old adage tells us the harder you fall, the bigger the bounce back up. It is something I’ve kept in mind on the return trip. My baggage is behind me, a new life ahead, and God is at my side.
Readers will find the upbeat tone of the stories leaving a smile on their weary faces; some might receive a ray of sunshine on a bleak day. The saga is for anyone who wants or needs a laugh. It demonstrates that God has set the bar and shared with us a sense of humor to get over it.
